Medications are just easy options for countering depression. Just using anti depressants may not always be helpful for patients suffering from depression unless they are combined with certain natural methods of coming out of depression.

- Diet: Patients affected by depression should totally avoid sweets. Sweets can only make you feel good temporarily by increasing sugar levels in the blood, but later when the levels come back to normal they may result mood swings.
