Vegetative signs of depression

Just like any other signs of depression recognizing the vegetative signs of depression are also important to help a person who is suffering with melancholia. Some of these signs of depression are a mood which is usually worse in the morning, no libido, loss of weight and anorexia or bulimia, waking up early and or insomnia in the early states of depression. Bulimia could cause severe health problems and if left untreated even death because of its consequences. This is thought to be a disorder of those who are overweight, but this is not so, there are a lot of people who go through bulimia because of depression.

The constant vomiting causes poor nutrition and brings on problems because of this. The person gets physically weaker and slowly succumbs to feeling of depression which are worsened because of this. Any patient needs a certain amount of strength to fight an illness or stave off mental problems, and this is lacking on those who are anorexic or have bulimia. As these are signs of depression it would help the person to get treatment and arrest the symptoms from growing any further.

Depression is a symptom and the underlying cause has to be recognized and treated. Only a qualified person will be able to do this and it is best not to approach those who are not competent at treating this. Depression could be a temporary mental problem or one which is chronic and would need treatment for long periods.
